Contec Projects is hiring a Field Helper / Labourer
Contec Projects is looking for a reliable, hard-working person to join our field service team. This is a hands-on helper position working on municipal water and wastewater systems, including lift stations, reservoirs, pumps, valves, piping, equipment, and general site work. The work is physical and challenging, but it is steady, practical work, with room to grow.
Duties may include:
- Assisting field technicians with lift station and reservoir cleaning
- Helping with pump, valve, piping, and equipment repairs
- Loading, unloading, cleaning, and organizing tools and materials
- Taking site photos and helping complete basic job documentation
- Picking up parts and supplies as needed
- Following safe work procedures and helping keep job sites organized
We are looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and shows up on time
- Is comfortable with physical, outdoor, and hands-on work
- Has basic mechanical aptitude
- Can follow instructions and work safely
- Has a valid driver’s licence
- Works well as part of a small crew
Experience in construction, mechanical work, farming, equipment, plumbing, or municipal work would be an asset, but this is an entry level position, and we are willing to train reliable people. Experience with confined space, fall protection, first aid, or mechanical equipment maintenance would also be an asset. We provide training as required.
Our services trucks are dispatched out of our yard, which is located 7 minutes south of the Perimeter on Highway 75. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is highly recommended for travel to and from our yard.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
