An exciting leadership opportunity exists within Central Corridor for a Speech Language Pathologist III – Clinical Lead, based out of Red Deer Regional Hospital. This role provides clinical and operational leadership for Speech Language Pathology services across the hospital and rural Central Zone, supporting high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Support the Allied Health Area Manager with day-to-day operations. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to frontline staff. Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment. Assist with service planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation. Clinical Practice Maintain a clinical caseload managing adult patients with swallowing and communication disorders. Provide services across acute care, long-term care, and outpatient settings. Deliver care in 2–4 rural communities within Central Zone. Apply advanced clinical judgment and evidence-informed practice. Collaboration & Communication Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Coordinate care to ensure efficient, effective patient outcomes. Description:
As a Speech Language Pathologist III, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral leader to other healthcare professionals (Speech Language Pathologists, Assistants). You will facilitate the development and ongoing monitoring of clinical standards of practice for speech-language pathology and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area. In collaboration with management, you will support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department's operational plan strategies.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active or eligible registration with the applicable regulatory body. Minimum of 5 years of progressive clinical experience, preferably in adult populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal) is preferred.
