King Animal Hospital is seeking compassionate, organized, and resilient Emergency Client Service Representatives to join our growing Emergency team. King Animal Hospital is a privately owned, state-of-the-art referral and emergency hospital serving both equine and small animal patients. Our 60,000 sq. ft. facility on 50 acres in King City, Ontario is equipped with advanced diagnostics and supported by a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Our Emergency department works closely alongside board-certified specialists in surgery, critical care, neurology, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, rehabilitation, and more—providing advanced care for urgent and complex cases 24 hours a day.
As an ER CSR, you will work alongside experienced Client Service Representatives, RVTs, Animal Care Attendants, ER DVMs, and specialists to support patients and clients through emergency visits and critical care situations.
What You’ll Do
As an Emergency Client Service Representative, you will play an essential role in supporting clients, patients, and the veterinary team during urgent and emergency situations:
- Welcome emergency patients and clients with professionalism, compassion, and urgency
- Support and communicate with clients experiencing emotional, stressful, or crisis situations
- Triage incoming phone calls and communicate effectively with the Emergency team
- Coordinate emergency intake, referral admissions, and patient transfers
- Schedule appointments and manage communication through phone, email, and text
- Prepare estimates, invoices, and process payments accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Assist clients with insurance claims and financing information
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and medical record documentation
- Collaborate closely with ER veterinarians, RVTs, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle sensitive conversations and client concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception environment
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a veterinary emergency clinic required
- Previous experience working with EzyVetsoftware required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems required
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure
- Comfortable supporting clients during emotional or high-stress situations
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary emergency team
- Flexibility to work multiple types of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights
