Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications, maintain compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a new growing facility .
Duties
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff scheduling.
- Supervise pharmacy support staff to ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy plans.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, medication records, and inventory logs.
- Provide clinical guidance on medication administration, and clinical services
- Train and mentor pharmacy staff on new procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in Alberta.
- Proven experience in community pharmacy.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in management is highly desirable.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring medication safety standards are met.
Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
