Position Overview
The Vice Regal Floor & Lounge Manager delivers attentive, personalized service to guests on the Vice Regal Floor while supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the area. This role reflects The Fort Garry Hotel’s standards of professionalism, discretion, service excellence, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet and assist Vice Regal Lounge guests in a friendly, professional manner
· Provide Express Check-Out services for Vice Regal Floor guests
· Handle cash, credit card, debit, and room charge transactions.
· Assist guests with hotel services, dining reservations, and local area arrangements
· Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service. Assist guests with hotel services, dining reservations and local area arrangements.
· Set up, maintain, and service the Vice Regal Lounge during breakfast, afternoon snack, and cocktail periods
· Prepare and serve hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages in accordance with certification and hotel standards
· Assist with setting up, maintaining, and closing the Vice Regal Lounge
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lounge, bar areas, tables, and service equipment.
· Replenish glassware, ice, and lounge supplies as required
· Monitor guest comfort and promptly report concerns or requests to the Vice Regal Floor Concierge
· Coordinate day-to-day team scheduling in accordance with operational needs and collective agreement guidelines
· Support onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching of Vice Regal Lounge team members
· Assist leadership with the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures
· Communicate guest requests and operational needs with culinary and leadership teams
· Follow all hotel policies, safety standards, grooming guidelines, and confidentiality requirements

· Respond promptly to guest concerns and escalate as appropriate
· Report on safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues immediately
Qualifications Required
· Minimum 2 Years of experience in food & beverage service and a knowledge of spirits and wines.
· Extensive knowledge of Winnipeg (and Manitoba) with regards to restaurants, entertainment, and various tourism attractions.
· Computer aptitude and familiarity with hotel booking systems such as Opera, or similar hotel programs would be an asset.
· Must have previous experience in handling cash and credit cards and previous Silverware ® similar computerized cash terminal experience.
· Must be able to work a 7-day workweek as schedules and as business volumes dictate. Including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
· All certifications as required for Food & Alcoholic Beverage Service in the Province of MB.
· First Aid/CPR Certification considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and move throughout the lounge for extended periods
· Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
· Maintain a polished, professional appearance throughout the shift
