Mprint Sign and Print Solutions Inc. is growing! We are seeking an experienced dynamic and detail-oriented Wide Format Production Technician to join our creative manufacturing team, however we are willing to invest in and train the right candidate. In this role, you will be responsible for producing and finishing high-quality vinyl graphics on various surfaces and operating wide-format printing equipment to produce vibrant, durable visual displays. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets our high standards for quality, precision, and visual impact. Duties
- Install vinyl graphics and decals on a variety of surfaces including various substrates, vehicles, windows, walls, and signage with precision and attention to detail
- Operate wide-format printers and related equipment to produce large-scale graphics, banners, and signage using various substrates
- Prepare files for printing by performing prepress tasks such as color management, layout adjustments, and ensuring proper image resolution
- Conduct quality control checks on printed materials to ensure color accuracy, sharpness, and adherence to client specifications
- Manage the setup and calibration of printers along with regular maintenance
- Mounting or finishing large-format prints. This will include weeding and cutting various materials and substrates
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols when handling large rolls of material
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and communicate effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate and maintain install schedule
Requirements (ideal but willing to train)
- Proven experience with vinyl graphic installation and wide-format print production techniques
- Experience operating wide format equipment
- Ability to perform quality control inspections with an eye for detail ensuring color accuracy and print integrity
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to manufacturing environments including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot printing or installation issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in vinyl installation, wraps, or sign installation preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift 80 lbs and work on ladders, scaffolding and lifts
- Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred but Not Required:
- Familiarity with Avery, 3M, and other materials
- Basic design experience
- Experience installing window tint and PPF
