DZ Driver - Roll Off and Front End
Location: North York (West End) or Pickering
Start Time: 6 AM
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Tuesday to Saturday
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $27+
- Overtime: Available after 44 hours
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Drive front-end trucks on designated routes to collect and transport solid waste
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and compliance with laws
- Collaborate with Dispatch and Route Supervisor for efficiency and customer service
- Use Fleet Mind for work documentation
- Complete route documentation accurately
- Report any incidents or issues to the Route Supervisor
Working Conditions:
- Drive commercial trucks through the yard and from dealers
- Operate in tight environments with overhead hazards
- Work in various weather conditions
- Perform time-sensitive pickups and deliveries
Requirements:
- Hold a Class DZ
- Minimum 1 year of roll off and/or front-end truck experience
- Proficient in maneuvering and backing commercial trucks
- Clean CVOR and Driver Abstract for the past 24 months
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in outdoor conditions
- Strong work ethic and customer focus
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehension for report documentation
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
