ZORO Energy Services is recruiting for a Controller to work in our SE Edmonton office. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets, and payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cash flow management and monthly bank reconciliation.
- Manage weekly, monthly, and annual financial close and reporting processes
- Complete account reconciliations and supporting working papers
- Process invoices, execute payments
- Communicate with vendors
- Process accurate invoices
- Establish credit limits
- Implement collection strategies
· Process Bi-weekly payroll
- Prepare and file corporate remittances, including GST, installments, WCB, and other regulatory filings
· Prepare and present financial statements including variance analysis.
· Maintains internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
· Preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
· Audits accounts to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
· Presents recommendations to management on short and long-term financial objectives and policies.
· Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Responsible for overseeing all IT systems and equipment for organization
- Manage Insurance coverage for all assets
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Ensures compliance with local, provincial, and federal government requirements.
Qualifications:
- Commerce degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Ten years or more of related experience.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Fluent in the English language including competency in literacy and writing
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality are essential
· Proven decision-making ability with high attention to detail
· Ability to interact professionally with customers and co-workers

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
