Job description
DBM Landscaping is a locally owned property maintenance company specializing in exterior litter control and site cleanliness for commercial properties, including grocery stores, retail plazas, and parking lot areas.
- We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Exterior Property Maintenance Janitor to assist with overnight and early morning cleaning services. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, comfortable working independently, and takes pride in keeping commercial properties clean, safe, and presentable before stores open for the day.
Responsibilities
- Perform exterior litter pickup throughout commercial parking lots, sidewalks, storefront areas, and surrounding property areas.
- Use a broom and dustpan to collect and dispose of litter, debris, and loose garbage.
- Empty and replace garbage receptacle liners as required.
- Ensure assigned properties are clean and presentable before store opening hours.
- Report any property issues, safety concerns, overflowing bins, damaged receptacles, or unusual activity to management.
- Maintain a consistent service schedule and complete work within the assigned shift window.
- Work independently while following company standards and client expectations.
- Please note that this job requires you to work 7 days a week
Requirements
- Must be available to work late-night / early-morning shifts (part-time for now, with the opportunity for more hours)
- Must have a personal pickup truck suitable for transporting collected garbage and supplies.
- Must carry valid vehicle insurance.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be physically able to walk parking lots, bend, lift garbage bags, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Previous property maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, porter, or parking lot maintenance experience is an asset, but not required.
