Inspire 360 Church works to empower marginalized communities, including Black, Caribbean, and African communities across the Greater Toronto Area. We deliver culturally relevant initiatives in areas such as financial literacy, mental health, settlement services, youth engagement, employment support, food security, and personal development.
Through partnerships with grassroots organizations, community leaders, and local agencies, we develop and support impactful programs that respond to the evolving needs of the communities we serve. We are seeking a passionate, organized, and adaptable Community Programs Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of a wide range of community initiatives in collaboration with Inspire 360 Church and various partner organizations across the GTA.
Position Summary
The Community Programs Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating and implementing a variety of community-based projects and initiatives in partnership with local organizations, agencies, and community groups. Programs may vary in focus and can include youth engagement, wellness initiatives, financial literacy, settlement support, food access programs, leadership development, workshops, community events, and other social impact initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who is community-minded, highly organized, and comfortable working in diverse environments with multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will help ensure programs are delivered effectively, collaboratively, and in alignment with the organization’s mission and community priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support a variety of community-based projects and initiatives in partnership with community organizations and stakeholders
- Plan and facilitate engaging workshops, activities, outreach initiatives, and community events
- Assist with program logistics, scheduling, participant coordination, and on-site support
- Conduct community outreach and help build relationships with local partners and participants
- Recruit, support, and coordinate volunteers for programs and events
- Collect program data, feedback, attendance records, and prepare reports as required
- Support the implementation of programs across different focus areas depending on organizational and community needs
- Represent Inspire 360 Church professionally when engaging with community members and partner organizations
- Travel throughout the GTA to support in-person programming and partnership activities
- Weekend availability may occasionally be required to support community events and programming activities
Qualifications & Skills
Preferred Education:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Social Work, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Education, Sociology or related disciplines or Public Health
Required Experience & Skills:
- Experience supporting or coordinating community-based programs, projects, or events
- Previous experience working with a Not-for-Profit organization, community organization, or Church
- Experience working with Black, racialized, and marginalized communities in culturally aware settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Comfortable working collaboratively with diverse community groups and stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to different program environments and community needs
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
Preferred Assets:
- Valid Ontario G2 or G license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Certifications in First Aid/CPR, Food Handling, or Mental Health First Aid
- Experience in volunteer coordination, partnership building, or program evaluation
- Lived experience aligned with the communities being served
Compensation
- $20/hour
- 35 hours/week
- 3-month contract position with the possibility of full-time employment following the contract period
- Travel expenses reimbursed where applicable
