We are seeking a dedicated and passionate RECE to join our brand new Montessori school in Richmond Hill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, developing engaging lesson plans, and fostering the intellectual and social growth of students. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to connect with children from diverse backgrounds, including those with special educational needs.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
- Organize classroom activities that promote social skills and teamwork among students.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching techniques into the curriculum.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire students in their learning journey.
- Experience working with children in various settings, including childcare or educational environments.
- Knowledge of special education practices to support diverse learners effectively.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, particularly in languages such as French, to enhance communication with non-English speaking students.
- Excellent time management skills to balance lesson planning, grading, and classroom activities efficiently.
- Proficient in computer operation for lesson planning, grading, and communication purposes.
- Ability to write clear and effective instructional materials that engage students' interests.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
