Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a customer-focused attitude. Bilingual skills and experience with retail sales or merchandising are a plus. The position offers an opportunity to develop sales techniques, assist customers with product demos, and contribute to a welcoming store environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and credit transactions
- Provide product information, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to enhance customer experience
- Maintain accurate cash register operations and balance cash drawers at shift end
- Assist with merchandising displays and stock replenishment to ensure attractive product presentation
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support sales efforts through effective communication of product features and benefits
- Ensure the store environment remains organized, clean, and welcoming
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, and upselling techniques is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively during shifts
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is advantageous
Pay: $17.60-$18.10 per hour
