The cementing 3rd hand provides essential on-site support to the cementing team, assisting with daily operations under the supervision of the cementing field supervisor and cementing operator. This role focuses on supporting hands-on cementing tasks, including but not limited to equipment setup, material handling, and site maintenance, to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of cementing operations. Core duties involve assisting with cement and additive transportation, equipment cleaning and preparation, and general site upkeep, while strictly adhering to HSE protocols and operational guidelines. The position plays a vital role in supporting the team’s productivity, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to the overall success of cementing projects by ensuring all auxiliary tasks are completed promptly and correctly.
Duties
- Assisting with all cement operations, both in the bulk plant and on the field
- Ability to promote safety awareness
- Assists the cement operator to set up the equipment and all preparations for cement operations.
- Assists the supervisor and operator in troubleshooting of, equipment and truck problems.
- Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment
Qualifications
- Prefer 1 year of work experience in oil and gas.
- Physically demanding, ability to lift +50lbs
- Familiar with Canadian labor laws, work permit processes.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.Diligent, organized, and proactive in implementing systems and policies.

- Fluent in English, with good oral expression and written proficiency.

Experience:
- Oilfield: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate (required)
- Standard First Aid Certificate (required)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate (required)
- Class 3 driver's license (required)
