Key Responsibilities
- Damage Appraisal: Inspect vehicles for structural, mechanical, and cosmetic damage.
- Estimate Writing: Prepare accurate, detailed repair estimates and supplements using industry software (e.g., Mitchell).
- Insurance Navigation: Ensure all estimates align with ICBC policies, guidelines, and Express Shop repair protocols.
- Customer Service: Guide customers through the claims process, explaining repair plans, timelines, and insurance approvals.
- Workflow Coordination: Order parts, track availability, and update technicians and management on repair progress.
- Quality Assurance: Review completed repairs against the initial estimate to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Certification & Training: I-CAR certification and collision estimating courses are highly valued.
- Software Proficiency: Strong understanding of ICBC estimating systems and collision repair management software ( e.g. IMEX )
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of auto body repair processes, OEM repair procedures, and parts replacement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively negotiate and explain complex estimates to clients and adjusters.
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
Pay: $46,886.45-$75,455.00 per year
