Responsibilities
- Teach students in Grades 6–12 through individual or small-group instruction.
- Prepare engaging, well-organized lessons based on each student's learning goals.
- Help students strengthen conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence.
- Support school coursework, quizzes, exams, and provincial curriculum requirements.
- Provide timely feedback on student progress.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with parents when appropriate.
- Prepare lesson materials and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching resources.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to provide high-quality learning experiences.
Qualifications
We are looking for educators who have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience in mathematics or science.
- Strong knowledge of the BC Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Availability during weekday afternoons/evenings and/or weekends.
The following qualifications are considered strong assets:
- Experience teaching AP, IB, or SAT courses.
- Experience preparing students for academic competitions.
- BC Teacher Certification.
- Classroom teaching experience in Canada.

Compensation
$23–$40 per hour
Compensation is based on teaching experience, qualifications, demonstrated teaching ability, and assigned responsibilities. Exceptional candidates with extensive experience or program leadership expertise may be considered for alternative compensation arrangements.
