Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with neurodiverse children between the ages of 3 and 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Assessment and intervention in paediatric occupational therapy ages 3-16 with variety of diagnosis including: ASD, SPD, ADHD, DCD, LD, PDA, Seizure Disorders, Brain Injury, Down Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, Cognitive challenges, Handwriting/printing challenges, Dysgraphia, Gross motor and Fine motor delays, etc.
- Report writing and providing consultation and recommendations to parents, schools, and care givers; attending IEPs, parent meetings; and working collaboratively with other professionals. This position requires strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to connect with children and their parents.
Experience/Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- 1+ years of experience in public or private pediatric setting
- Registery of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list qualification an asset. RASP supervision and mentorship available.
- New graduates are welcome with mentorship and training provided
- Member of College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
- Must have a valid driver's license and willing to travel for home visits
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $90.00-$105.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
