Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on pediatric and orthodontic treatments, utilizing advanced dental technology and software.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns throughout their visit
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with certification credentials
- Proficiency with dental software Tracker systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
- Experience assisting with pediatric patients and orthodontic procedures
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dental assisting techniques specific to orthodontics and pediatrics is preferred
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
