Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our warehouse team. This role involves managing the inbound and outbound logistics processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, forklift operation, and order picking, contributing to smooth distribution and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments: inspect, verify quantities, and match against purchase orders
- Process outbound shipments including crating, packing, labelling, and freight coordination
- Enter and maintain accurate records in SAP (receiving, packing slips, BOLs, and inventory transactions)
- Coordinate with couriers, freight carriers, and logistics providers for domestic and international shipments
- Communicate with purchasing and project teams on incoming material status and delivery exceptions
- Manage and organize the shipping/receiving area, ensuring cleanliness and safe storage
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits
- Prepare customs and export documentation for cross-border shipments (USMCA, commercial invoices, etc.)
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or non-conforming materials
- Support the shop floor with internal parts movement and kitting as required
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for purchase order and inventory management
- Experience with domestic and international freight (LTL, courier, ocean/air) and customs documentation
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (training available)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop/warehouse environment
- Experience with USMCA certificates of origin and cross-border compliance is an asset
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
