Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Siding Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of siding on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop carpentry skills, and contribute to the enhancement of building exteriors. Candidate must be punctual, work well with others and be able to follow instructions.
Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for siding installation based on blueprints and project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure siding materials such as vinyl, wood, or fiber cement
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Perform heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Apply caulking around seams and joints to ensure weatherproofing and a finished appearance
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and meet quality standards
- Perform minor carpentry tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for siding application
Qualifications
- Proven experience with construction, carpentry, or handyman work preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, caulking guns, and other installation equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical instructions accurately
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or on ladders safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience with siding installation or related construction tasks is a plus but not required
