JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Junior Merchandise Coordinator supports the Sales team by preparing client proposals through data collection, product research, and template creation. This role serves as a key liaison between vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of product information. The coordinator ensures all vendor templates are complete, competitive, and financially accurate, including retail comparisons, freight estimates.
Reports To: Sales Team and/or COO
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Proposal & Template Development
- Assist the sales team with vendor pitches and client proposals on a regular basis by gathering product data and compiling detailed product information into standardized templates.
- Review and clean templates to ensure all required fields are accurate, complete, and client-ready.
- Conduct retail price comparisons based on lowest available retail pricing to ensure competitiveness.
2. Vendor & Product Coordination
- Act as a liaison between vendors and the team to facilitate timely submission and revision of product templates.
- Ensure vendor submissions meet company standards for format, accuracy, and completeness.
- Follow up with vendors on missing or incomplete information and manage deadlines effectively.
3. Purchase Order Coordination
- Work closely with internal sales teams to process and track purchase orders (POs).
- Ensure all PO documentation is accurate and aligned with approved proposals.
4. Customer Support Collaboration
- Assist the Customer Care team in resolving product-related issues, including mis-shipments, damaged or defective items, and customer concerns.
- Help investigate issues and coordinate solutions with vendors and internal teams to maintain client satisfaction.
5. Cross-Functional Support
- Participate in team meetings, reporting, and process improvements.
6. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain organized records of product data, vendor information, pricing, and proposal history.
- Generate basic reports and summaries to support decision-making and performance tracking.
7. Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned to support evolving business needs and organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Basic understanding of pricing, margins, and retail comparisons preferred
- Experience working with vendors or procurement processes is a plus

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
