Matan & Co. is a hospitality staffing company providing experienced culinary and service professionals to catering companies, corporate events, private events, production kitchens, and hospitality venues across Toronto and the GTA.
We are currently looking to expand our roster of reliable, hardworking Dishwashers for ongoing freelance opportunities.
Position Overview
This is a freelance, event-based position. Shifts are offered based on client bookings and your availability. You have the flexibility to accept or decline shifts as they become available.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning and sanitation
- Remove garbage and recycling as required
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organization
- Follow food safety and health regulations
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in busy commercial kitchens
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- CSA-approved non-slip safety shoes required
- Food Handler Certificate is considered an asset
