We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team for the summer months and assist with vacation and statutory holiday coverage.
Position Summary
The Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning resident suites and common areas while providing friendly and respectful service to our senior residents.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident suites, washrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces
- Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and remove garbage and recycling
- Follow established infection prevention and control practices
- Restock housekeeping supplies as needed
- Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards promptly
- Work cooperatively with all departments to ensure resident satisfaction
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with residents, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, retirement residence, or healthcare experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing housekeeping carts
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
