The Role
We’re hiring a Senior AI Engineer to lead the build-out of Icaro’s 1st party data platform. You’ll architect and ship machine learning systems that turn billions of video, DOOH, and portal interactions into real-time audience insights, personalization, and measurement. This is a hands-on technical role with ownership over data strategy, model development, and production ML infrastructure. You’ll work directly with Product, Data, and Engineering leadership to define how AI powers our platform.
What You’ll Own
1st Party Data Platform: Design and build the core data and ML infrastructure to collect, unify, and activate 1st party data across OTT, DOOH, and hyperlocal portals.
Model Development: Build, train, and deploy models for audience segmentation, content recommendation, churn prediction, contextual targeting, and campaign optimization.
MLOps & Scale: Take models from notebook to production. Implement monitoring, retraining pipelines, feature stores, and low-latency inference serving.
Data Strategy: Partner with Product and Engineering to define data collection standards, identity resolution, and privacy-safe data architecture. Ensure compliance with PIPEDA, GDPR, and CCPA.
Innovation: Evaluate and implement LLMs, embeddings, and generative AI to improve content tagging, creative optimization, and automated insights for clients.
Cross-Functional Impact: Work with Sales and Client Services to translate client problems into AI solutions. Present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Must Have: 5+ years of experience building and shipping ML systems in production. Strong Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn. Experience with data processing at scale using Spark, Kafka, or Flink. Hands-on MLOps experience with tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, or SageMaker. Strong SQL and experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field. Eligible to work in Canada.
Nice to Have: Experience in adtech, martech, or media with 1st party data, identity graphs, or clean rooms. Experience with real-time inference and streaming data. Knowledge of OTT/CTV data, DOOH impression data, or geolocation data. Experience with LLMs, vector databases, and RAG architectures. Experience with privacy-enhancing tech like differential privacy or federated learning.
