Position Summary
Roseland Building Materials is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC machinery used in the production of interior and exterior door components. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machinery to manufacture door components according to production schedules and engineering specifications.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Verify dimensions and quality of finished components using measuring tools and quality inspection procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as required to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Read and interpret production drawings, work orders, and CNC programs.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and programming issues and communicate larger issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
- Assist with material handling, inventory movement, and workstation organization.
- Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce waste.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with woodworking CNC equipment.
- Knowledge of door, millwork, cabinet, or furniture manufacturing.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to safely handle large door components and materials.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, dust, and noise.
Pay: $17.92-$31.45 per hour
