A candidate with a method of transportation is preferred as this is a position for home care.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to our residents and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves working closely with patients to deliver personalized care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a respectful and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
- Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents, especially those with dementia or hospice needs
- Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure safety for both residents and staff
- Follow care plans accurately and document observations appropriately
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care is highly valued
- Background in caregiving, nursing, or related healthcare fields is advantageous
- Familiarity with medication administration, meal preparation, and basic cleaning tasks is beneficial
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining a caring attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
