We're looking for motivated, dependable, and safety-conscious Quarry Labourer to support our growing quarry operations. Whether you have previous quarry experience or come from construction, landscaping, heavy civil, or general labour, we'd love to hear from you.
Camp Accommodation is available, making this a great opportunity for candidates looking to work seasonally on Manitoulin Island.
What You'll Do
As a Quarry Labourer, you'll play an important role in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the extraction, processing, and stockpiling of aggregates and stone materials
- Performing general labour duties throughout the quarry
- Cleaning around crushers, conveyors, screens, and other processing equipment
- Shoveling, raking, and clearing material from work areas
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment
- Supporting equipment operators and mechanics with daily operations and maintenance
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Inspecting work areas and reporting equipment concerns or safety hazards
- Assisting with scaling rock, clearing debris, and maintaining haul roads
- Operating hand tools and small power equipment safely
- Following production schedules and supervisor directions
- Adhering to all company safety policies and wearing required PPE
- Assisting with additional quarry and yard duties as needed
What We're Looking For
We're looking for individuals who:
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Have Heavy Equipment Experience -1 year
- Are physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly
- Take pride in working safely and efficiently
- Are dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Are eager to learn new skills and grow within the company
- Have strong communication skills
Experience & Qualifications
The following are considered assets:
- 2+ years of experience in quarry operations, aggregate production, construction, landscaping, heavy civil, or general labour
- Experience operating heavy equipment or industrial equipment
- Experience using hand tools and power equipment
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
- Reliable transportation to and from the quarry , we do have onsite camp accomodations
- Ability to successfully complete site-specific safety orientation and training
Working Conditions
This is a physically demanding outdoor position that includes:
- Working in all weather conditions
- Walking on uneven terrain, climbing, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to heavy equipment, dust, vibration, and high noise levels
- Early morning starts and occasional overtime during peak production periods

- Greater Sudbury, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (preferred)
