Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities

Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules;
-
Manage multiple projects of various sizes from start to finish;

Responsible for project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analysis for engineering studies for deep and shallow foundations (static, seismic and dynamic machine loadings);

Design parameters for various Municipal/Public Infrastructure (new and replacements, including sewer and watermains, pipelines, telecommunication towers, highways, bridges, railways);

Design of slope and earth structure stability, stormwater control facilities, in-situ testing programs;

Maintain a commitment to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high quality of work;

Consistently maintain professionalism and objectivity while working with colleagues and clients who require varying degrees of support;

Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts;

You will also play a key role on the engineering team providing leadership and mentoring of the team members;

Prepare Technical proposals and write engineering reports;

Business Development, client liaison and management.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
-
University degree in Civil/Geotechnical or Geological Engineering;
-
Completion of advanced or specialized university courses in geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering (ie. Masters’ degree) is considered an asset;
-
Minimum of 8+ years of solid Geotechnical engineering experience;
-
Experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities (asset);

Current registration with MTO's RAQs for foundations and/or tunneling disciplines an asset;
-
Registered P.Eng. license with Professional Engineers of Ontario;

Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team;

Ability to work independently, secure business and deliver geotechnical reports with minimal supervision;
-
Previous consulting experience is an asset;
-
Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
