As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service by assisting vehicle owners with their automotive service needs. The primary focus of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain effective communication, and generate repair orders efficiently.
**Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Interaction:**
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and inquiries.
2. **Repair Order Generation:**
- Efficiently write up to 15 repair orders per day, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Document customer concerns, vehicle symptoms, and relevant information.
- Provide detailed information on recommended services and associated costs.
3. **Communication:**
- Effectively communicate with the service team, technicians, and customers throughout the service process.
- Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicles and any additional repairs needed.
4. **Customer Satisfaction:**
- Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct follow-up communication to ensure customer satisfaction post-service.
5. **Technical Knowledge:**
- Stay informed about automotive technology, industry trends, and service procedures.
- Clearly explain technical information to customers in a way that is easy to understand.
6. **Sales and Upselling:**
- Identify and recommend additional services based on vehicle condition and maintenance history.
- Provide accurate estimates and quotes for recommended services.
7. **Documentation and Record Keeping:**
- Maintain organized and detailed records of customer interactions and service transactions.
- Ensure all paperwork, including repair orders and invoices, is completed accurately.
8. **Team Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with service technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs.
- Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required components.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive service environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Computer proficiency with experience in service management software.
