Overview
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role plays a key part in supporting management decisions and maximizing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
- Oversee audits (internal and external)
- Coordinate with department heads to manage budgets and costs
- Supervise and mentor finance team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in hospitality
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, SAP, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting
- Strong leadership and communication abilities

- Experience in hotel or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with revenue management and cost control
- Advanced Excel and financial software skills
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
