Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant Level II to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Prepare patients for dental examinations
- Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
- Maintain and order supplies
- Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Take and develop X-rays
- Implement treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records
- Coordinate patient care
- Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team
- Assist in the preparation and administration of examinations
Qualifications
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
- Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board
- Technical dental expertise ( Plastering, Waxing-up, Polishing)
- Experience in medical and biomedical equipment and systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
- Proven experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
Pay: $33.00 per hour
