Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Caissière to join our team in. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized cashier station. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our customers while supporting the smooth operation of our food service establishment. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with strong communication and math skills. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with food ordering, payment, and inquiries in a friendly manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier area according to food safety standards
- Support food preparation and service as needed, including basic food handling and sanitation tasks
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Follow all safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures is a plus
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items and provide excellent customer service
