Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation, in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. The majority of the job will be during the evening services.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for daily meal service, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in regular cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is not required but helps.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong Multitasking skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the food industry.
