We are seeking an experienced Lawn Maintenance Supervisor to join our Landscaping team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and construction. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the successful completion of projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.This is a seasonal position with the potential of extending your contract with snow removal. Key Responsibilities include:
- Aid in the loading & unloading of trucks & trailers
- Lawn Care: Lawn cutting, weeding, pruning, trimming, power blowing & bagging of debris.
- Safely & effectively use power lawn mowers, ride-on mowers, push mowers, trimmers, blowers & pruning equipment
- General cleaning & preventative maintenance with equipment
You will be expected to be on site to assist our Foreman with day to day duties when needed.
- Prepping sod installation
- Prepping mulch install
- Assisting with patio & retaining wall installs
- Assisting with fence & artificial turf installs
Abilities:
- You MUST have an Alberta Issued Driver’s License and provide a CLEAN 3 year drivers abstract with a reliable vehicle.
- You MUST have experience driving a truck & trailer.
- Use, and maintain applicable equipment.
- Ability to lift the weight of up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to communicate with Foreman and other crew members.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or in small teams with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Requirements:
- You MUST have an Alberta Issued Driver’s License and provide a CLEAN 3 year drivers abstract with a reliable vehicle.
- Must be able and willing to work 8 - 10 hour days Monday to Friday & weekends as needed.
- Must have steel-toed boots and wear them at ALL times.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- We offer competitive wages as well as overtime after 8 hours per day and 44 hours per week.
