Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RMT-Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from tension through various massage techniques. As a Massage Therapist, you will create a welcoming environment, assess client needs, and provide tailored treatments to enhance their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs.
- Assess clients’ physical conditions and discuss their preferences to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Utilize various massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a relaxing atmosphere and addressing client concerns.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy practices.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for clients.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of massage therapy.

What you’ll need to practice at Mission Health:
- Massage Therapy Diploma (at least 2200 hours) from a Canadian Massage Therapy school
- Registered and a member in good standing with MTAA, CRMTA, NHPC or CMMOTA
- Professional, positive, and passionate with a strong work ethic
