Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Therapist to join our team.
This role involves working closely with children to support their developmental and behavioral needs through evidence-based interventions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive and nurturing environment for clients.
The Behaviour Therapist plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for children with diverse needs by implementing tailored therapy plans and collaborating with families and healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or other relevant methods.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment adjustments.
- Support children in daily activities, promoting social skills, communication, and independence.
- Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all therapy activities.
Experience
- Two years prior experience working with children in educational, clinical, or therapeutic settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data collection methods to track client progress effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and their families.
