We require an energetic, motivated and career minded Industrial Electrician to join our team to perform preventative, corrective and scheduled repairs on equipment throughout the plant. You will work with maintenance personnel in a timely manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all plant electrical systems, controls, and automated equipment.
· Perform preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and equipment installations to minimize downtime.
· Work closely with operators, millwrights, and other maintenance team members in a strong safety-first culture.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and the plant’s overall maintenance program.
· Keep accurate maintenance records, work orders, and logs.
· Support production during planned and unplanned outages on a rotating shift schedule.
Schedule & Work Environment
· Rotating shift schedule (days, afternoons, and nights) 8-hour shifts.
· Opportunity for overtime and shift premiums.
· Clean, temperature-controlled food-grade facility with strong focus on safety and hygiene.
Qualifications
· Valid Red Seal Industrial Electrician certification.
· Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical experience (food manufacturing experience is a strong asset).
· Thorough knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, BC Electrical Safety Regulations, and current standards.
· FSR (Field Safety Representative) Certificate – or willingness to obtain one.
· Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
· Strong PLC troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
· Computer literate (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Excellent communication skills and a true team player.
· Flexible with shift work and committed to a continuous-operation environment.
Job Type: Full-time – Rotating Shifts
Experience: 2+ years industrial electrical preferred
Pay: $39.07-$45.12 per hour
