Blue Grass Sod Farms Ltd. is currently seeking professional Class 1 Delivery Drivers with Super B experience to join our team in Edmonton for the upcoming season. This role involves transporting sod and aggregate materials throughout Edmonton, Red Deer, and other locations across Central Alberta.
This position includes daily deliveries and physical work such as getting on/off from forklift, strapping & unstrapping and assisting with loading or unloading products on trailer.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks with Super B trailers for deliveries.
- Transport sod and aggregate materials to customer locations.
- Load and unload products using a forklift.
- Complete required documentation including pre-trip inspections and delivery paperwork.
- Use delivery applications and GPS/navigation tools such as Google Maps or iPhone Maps.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with physical handling of materials when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with Super B driving experience.
- Experience driving within cities such as Edmonton, Red Deer, and surrounding Central Alberta areas.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Comfortable using delivery applications and navigation tools.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional nights.
- Professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
Schedule
- Shifts vary and may include :
- Early mornings
- Late evenings
- Weekdays and weekends
- Some nights
- On-call shifts
Job Details
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
- Contract Length: 3–6 months (may increase)
- Hours: 20–40 hours per week (may increase)
- Wage: $23.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
