CN Taylor Medical practice is looking for a Full Time Nurse Practitioner with a passion for primary care to join this busy team. You will work in collaboration with patients, families and other health care providers in the provision of high quality patient-centered care. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong clinical background, and will practice to full scope of practice as outlined in the Standards of Practice by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
This is an in person job and as such requires the NP to be present in the office. Applications for long distance/virtual NP's will not be accepted.

Qualifications:
· College of Nurses of Ontario registration in the Extended Class (NP-Adult) required
· Current certificate of competence as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario
· Current BCLS certification
· Provides leadership in the application of nursing knowledge to nursing team within the practice
· Baccalaureate in Nursing (BScN) required
· Masters Degree in Nursing (MScN or MN) required
· Member of RNAO with professional liability insurance required
· 2 years experience preferred
· Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (will provide proof)
Principle Duties:
· Provides complete health assessments including health history and physical examination
· Provides wellness care, health screening and education
· Diagnose and treat illness and injury
· Screen for, treat and monitor chronic illness, collaborating and consulting with physician as required
· Provides care of episodic illness
· Monitors ongoing therapy of client with chronic, stable illness
· Determine need for health promotion and prevention strategies for patients, families and care-givers
· Utilizes nursing strategies with a foundation of evidence based practice
· Assess, diagnose, order, interpret medical tests, prescribe medications, and collaborate in the care of patients
· Perform assessments, diagnosis, treatment, health education/counselling and other clinical activities according to the CNO standards of practice
· Documents appropriately within the Electronic Medical Record and other avenues of documentation as required
· Facilitates continuity of care by working in collaboration with professional health care teams, including specialists
· Consultation with physician in accordance with the standards for physician consultation
· Maintains accurate, concise and confidential documentation
· Advocates for patients, families and caregivers when required
