Experienced Gardener / Horticulture Technician
Augusta Lawn Care of Delta is hiring a full-time or part-time seasonal Experienced Gardener / Horticulture Technician to join our property maintenance team.
This hands-on outdoor role focuses on garden-bed maintenance, plant care, pruning, planting, seasonal care, and maintaining a high standard of property presentation.
Most work will be completed on strata properties and at a large private estate, with additional work at residential homes.
We are looking for an experienced gardener or horticulture professional who understands plants, takes pride in detailed work, communicates well, and can maintain a productive pace without sacrificing quality. Relevant professional experience is required. Formal horticultural education is an asset, but is not required.

Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay of $24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience, plant knowledge, judgment, productivity, and ability to work independently
- $150 new-hire bonus paid on your first paycheque

Candidates at the higher end of the range should bring strong plant knowledge, sound pruning and plant-care judgment, confident client communication, and the ability to manage garden work with limited supervision.
Some planting or enhancement work may also qualify for additional performance-based pay.

Schedule
- Full-time or part-time seasonal work
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time employees will generally work five days per week
- Part-time applicants should be available for three or four consistent full days per week
- Optional Saturday work may occasionally be available
- Crews meet at our South Delta location between Ladner and Tsawwassen, just off Highway 17, before travelling to job sites
- This is primarily a seasonal position. Strong employees may be offered reduced winter hours and the opportunity to return the following season

What You Will Do
- Maintain garden beds through weeding, deadheading, cutting back, and seasonal care
- Prune shrubs, perennials, ornamental plants, and small trees
- Identify common landscape plants and flag plant-health concerns
- Assist with planting, transplanting, soil improvement, and garden enhancements
- Monitor gardens and recommend follow-up work
- Maintain clean bed edges and a high standard of property presentation
- Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors
- Operate and care for gardening and landscaping tools
- Work independently and as part of the broader maintenance team
- Depending on experience, complete hedge trimming, shaping, and more advanced pruning
