Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Lot Attendant to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the dealership lot, assisting with guest services, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills in a dynamic automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Organize, park, and align new and used vehicles neatly on the display lot according to dealership standards.
- Service Vehicle Flow: Park incoming customer vehicles and retrieve them promptly when repairs are completed.
- Vehicle Preparation: Wash, vacuum, and clean the interiors and exteriors of vehicles for customer deliveries or showroom display.
- Lot Maintenance: Keep the dealership lot clean, safe, and free of debris, which includes snow removal and salting walkways during winter.
- Battery & Fuel Management: Regularly check vehicle batteries, jump-start dead vehicles, and drive cars to local gas stations for fueling.
- Trade-in & Intake Inspection: Receive incoming transport trucks, check new vehicles for shipping damage, and log keys.
- Dealership Errands: Drive vehicles to off-site storage lots, local sublet repair shops, or the insurance broker for licensing tasks.
- Key Security: Maintain strict organization of the dealership key track or lockbox system to ensure keys are never lost or misplaced.
Skills
- Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong guest service and customer service skills to create a welcoming environment
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, aiding communication with diverse clientele
- Knowledge of hospitality practices to enhance guest interactions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when necessary
- Reliable, organized, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and professionalism
Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
