Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Housekeeper to join our team at our small boutique hotel located in downtown Wolfville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning hotel suites, maintaining cleanliness through the hotel and ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for our guests - working as part of a team or independently. Our peak working hours are operating seven days a week, between 10am and 4pm - no evenings. This role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to a professional hospitality team, with a focus on attention to detail and excellent service. We are a small team and an emphasis is put on taking pride in one's work, loyalty and dependability.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Change linens, make beds, dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, and sanitize bathrooms to meet cleanliness standards.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Follow established safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties.
- Adhere to hotel or facility policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with guests and team members.
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality is preferred; hotel or industrial cleaning experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and reaching.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts.
- Reliable transportation may be necessary depending on shift hours and location.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to providing high-quality service are essential.
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
