Jadee Meat Products is located in Beamsville, Ontario and is an established and growing food processing company. Our team is actively seeking an honest, energetic and hard-working individual to fill the full-time role in our Maintenance Department for the day shift (6:30 a.m. – 3:00p.m.).
Responsibilities
- Set-up equipment prior to production start-up.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment and machinery.
- Upkeep of building facilities.
- Inspect the materials and tools inventory and place orders when needed with the assistance of the maintenance supervisor.
- Ability to use tools and equipment required to perform the work (e.g., hand and power tools, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Develop and follow maintenance procedures.
- Perform all work in a safe manner and within all compliance requirements to avoid personal injury.
- Work with outside contractors.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent - preferred experience in a maintenance role.
- Problem solving ability; recognize, assess, report, and provide solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and record keeping ability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Maintain good working relationships with all co-workers and contractors.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. if necessary.
- Ability to fabricate and weld various types of metals is a plus.
- Successful candidates will be able to work well independently and, in a team, setting.
