Job Purpose
The Active Aging Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support and customer service in the development and delivery of Active Aging programs for older adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the preparation for program registration to include room bookings, printing registration forms, sending content to marketing team in monthly basis, creating attendance files, tracking waivers and maintaining wild apricot database.
- Manage the registration process for courses, workshops, fitness studio, events and memberships.
- Assist clients with inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding program details, registration, and memberships.
- Provides support to the Program Coordinator and Manager of Active Aging as needed, including assisting with daily operations, event preparation, participant communication, and other tasks that ensure smooth and efficient program delivery.
- Prepares and sets up rooms, ensuring all equipment, materials, tables and chairs are arranged according to class requirements and safety standards and provide catering request to facility as needed.
- Enters members license plate numbers into the Indigo system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Compile statistics for drop-in groups, phone calls, in person contacts and evaluations for each semester.
- Input FCSS pre and post test results for the Active Aging Program into the FCSS on-line database.
- Maintain confidentiality in client and Unison at Kerby Centre business.
- Wear attire appropriate to the position.
Qualifications:
Education
University degree or Two-year diploma in human services or a related field.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
· At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar position with vulnerable populations.
Excellent customer service skills and good communicator
Good administration skills including time management, detail oriented and organized.
Good written and spoken English

Working Conditions:
· Usually work in office environment.
· This is a part-time position, three days per week, 8 hours per day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. including one hour of unpaid break, totaling to 21 paid hours per week.
· Job is physically taxing. Room set up should be done on a regular basis
Pay: $32,436.00-$34,057.00 per year
