Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. The Server will play a vital role in providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, efficient service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to promote guest satisfaction
- Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations in accordance with food industry standards
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices in the restaurant industry
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Effective communication skills for working with team members and interacting with guests
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales potential
