Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Private Caregivers to provide personalized in-home care for clients with diverse needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. The caregiver will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering attentive, respectful, and professional care tailored to each person's unique requirements. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care settings is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Administer medications accurately as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing to maintain a safe environment
- Support patients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
- Assist with medical procedures or nursing tasks under supervision if qualified
- Engage clients in activities that promote cognitive and physical health, especially for those with dementia or disabilities
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members or healthcare professionals regarding client status
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home caregiving preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and familiarity with dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs safely
- Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to prepare meals according to specific dietary guidelines
- Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation purposes if required by the client’s location
