We are currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our team for an 18-month term.
Shifts are Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm.
The term is expected to run until Monday December 20, 2027. We will give as much notice as possible if this date changes.
What you will do:
- Welcome, greet and direct residents, family members, visitors, and outside trades
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries
- Maintains security of the building by monitoring visitor sign-ins as well as security cameras
- Respond to resident concerns and help them feel safe and secure
- Respond to resident emergencies, call ambulance and families as needed. Prepare reports.
- Respond to building emergency situations as required (ie. fire, power outage, flooding, etc.).
- This position will act as Chief Fire Warden in fire alarm situations.
- Evening shifts will perform a nightly walkthrough of the Lindenwood Campus to ensure buildings are secure, and will monitor cameras throughout their shift
- Respond to minor maintenance requests as required (i.e. light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, plugged toilets, tv issues etc.). Report maintenance issues/requests through maintenance program.
- Book guest suites and accept payments
- Assist with minor snow clearing and sanding entry ways
- Assist other departments with non-time sensitive administrative duties as required and as directed by the supervisor.

What you will offer:
- Experience in reception duties including multiline switchboard an asset
- Experience working with seniors an asset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English at all times (speaking, writing, understanding)
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to assess situations and make appropriate decisions
- The successful candidate may have an opportunity to cross train in other departments so a willingness to serve the residents in other capacities is definitely an asset.
