Role Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator and Project Manager at Freight North Carriers is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of transportation projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of logistics operations for ongoing projects.
- Develop and implement detailed operational plans tailored to client needs and project scope.
- Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and secure capacity to meet project demands.
- Track shipments, monitor progress, and address any issues or delays proactively.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare and present project updates, operational plans, and rate proposals to clients.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize logistics processes for efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination and project management within transportation or freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of transportation operations, carrier management, and industry regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
