Position: Senior Technical Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Pickering, ON (2 days remote)
Structure: Contract 24 months to start
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 p/h inc. + HST

Deliverables

Provide technical evaluations, problem-solving, and coordination of engineering activities to support commissioning, operation, and maintenance of facility systems.

Develop and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, calculations, procedures, reports, and recommendations for system improvements.

Analyze operational data, conduct studies, and recommend solutions to improve system performance, safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Support procurement, installation, and testing activities while collaborating with stakeholders to review proposals, implement changes, and ensure compliance with standards.
Experience Required

6–8 years of experience in engineering roles supporting design, commissioning, operation, or maintenance within nuclear or complex industrial environments.

Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines such as mechanical engineering, process systems, physics, or materials science to evaluate and improve systems.

Experience performing technical analysis, problem-solving, and developing recommendations to enhance system safety, reliability, and performance.

Experience preparing technical documentation, procedures, reports, and supporting procurement and installation activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
