Jonathan's Landscaping is a locally owned landscape company serving Almonte and the surrounding area. We specialize in the installation of interlock patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and complete landscape projects. We also provide lawn maintenance for a select group of clients and operate Carp Garden Centre, where team members may occasionally assist during peak seasonal periods.
We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Landscape Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a variety of outdoor work. This position is ideal for someone with experience in landscape construction who values being part of a close-knit team where every employee plays an important role.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape construction, including the installation of interlock patios, walkways, driveways, steps, and retaining walls.
- Complete grading, excavation, site preparation, and base installation.
- Work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Plant trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment and power tools.
- Perform seasonal lawn maintenance for a limited number of residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscapes and equipment to identify issues requiring maintenance or repair
- Assist with other landscape-related tasks as required.
- Provide support at our Carp Garden Centre during peak seasonal periods, including unloading plant shipments, organizing inventory, general property maintenance, and assisting with other operational tasks as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites and equipment.
- Deliver professional, courteous service when interacting with customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of landscape construction experience preferred.
- Experience installing interlock pavers and retaining wall systems.
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, cut-off saws, and other landscape equipment is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence
- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude and strong communication with the team.
