Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi rolls with precision and creativity, ensuring consistency in presentation and flavor
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the sushi station at the start and end of each shift
- Serve guests with professionalism, providing excellent food service experience while explaining menu items when needed
- Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate supply needs to ensure continuous availability of quality products
- Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness standards and streamline kitchen operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a sushi chef with a focus on roll making
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and collaborating with team members
